Sorry that it has been a few weeks since I updated anything! We have had a busy few weeks in our house....
Sydney had a great day for her 4th birthday on the 12th. We took her to the Mall of America where we had lunch in the Kokomo Island Cafe where she got sung too, and received a chocolate sundae! We then went on a few rides in Nickelodeon Universe. That night we had some friends over for her princess birthday cake!
Brad got his first TWO deer ever while hunting, so needless to say he was pretty excited by that (see photos), he was a little sad when hunting season ended, now he is focusing on getting things done around our house before baby arrives in June.
Christopher is talking more and more by the day. He even now says"Hi Gram" to my mom, he is starting to form more sentences which has been fun!
Unfortunately on the 16th, the pink-eye bug caught our family. Christopher came down with it first and by Wednesday, Sydney had it. I came down with it early this morning, and so I had to miss work. I hope that Brad won't get it!! The kids and I have also been suffering from colds, the doctor said I was fighting an upper respiratory infection, so it was good for me to stay home and rest.
Tomorrow at 3:15 I am scheduled for my first trimester ultrasound, so I will post photos if we get any that are viewable and will fill you all in on what we learn.

Sydney's 4th Birthday
We can hardly believe that our little girl is going to be 4 on Wednesday! It doesn't seem possible, time sure has flown by. She is very excited about tomorrow, she gets to bring birthday treats for her class and then on Wednesday we are going to take her to Nickelodeon Universe in the Mall of America, and we will have lunch. We are having a small celebration with a few of her friends Wednesday night. We will be having a little party with my family on the 22nd.
Brad will be hunting until tomorrow sometime. He will return home to work for a few days and then on Friday will be heading back up north, returning home on Sunday. I sure will be glad when hunting is over! I miss him when he's away.

Baby Update
Sorry that I didn't get on to post before this, but it has been a busy week in our household. Last Wednesday, November 5, I went to my first prenatal appointment. As of Wednesday I was 9 weeks pregnant. The nurse practicioner that I saw did an ultrasound to be able to see if there was a heartbeat. Brad, Sydney, Christopher, and I were able to see the baby on the monitor and saw its little heart beating, so that was reassuring for all of us. The nurse gave each of the kids, and us a picture of the baby, though Sydney admitted to us later that she didn't "see no baby"! It is so tiny now it just looks like a blob. I will get a more in depth ultrasound at 20 weeks or so, when we get those we will post them!

November
I can hardly believe that Halloween is over and that soon Thanksgiving, and then Christmas will be upon us! Time sure seems to fly by fast these days!
We sure are keeping busy here! I have been so busy lately between work, school, kids, hubby, and being pregnant, I didn't get a chance to get the Halloween cards that I made out, so if you get one, do not be surprised by the lateness! (Sorry about that!)
Brad is getting very anxious for the deer hunting rifle season to begin on November 8. In fact he went to the firing range this morning to practice shooting for awhile. We bought him some goodies/snacks/beverages to take with him yesterday. I think he is the most excited he has ever been to go this year because he has a brand new stand that is all his own to go to and he has his 4 wheeler, so now he is all set!
Sydney is having so much fun at school! Every day she goes she brings home a different art project that she has made and stories of all of the friends she has made. Last Thursday, (the 30th), Daddy got to go to school with Sydney, and she was thrilled! Daddy was proud to report that Sydney was the only child able to respond to the question "What color do you get when you mix red and yellow together?" Sydney was the only one who answered, and she of course said "Orange!" (Thanks in part to Brittany, who took her paint shopping for our bathroom, Blue's Clues, and one time when I painted with her we mixed colors)! It is so amazing to get to see your child actually learn something!! She is also VERY excited by her upcoming birthday in 10 days!
Christopher has been saying more and more words since I last posted! That is so much fun for us. We enjoy watching him grow and seeing him communicate more and more. He had his first experience with "school" this past Thursday. He attended the child care at the place where Sydney goes to preschool. Brad said that he was smiling and playing happily with toys when he left and doing the same when he returned. Luckily he is a well adjusted little guy! The teacher said he was the only one who didn't cry when she changed his diaper, so that is good.
The kids loved Halloween! Sydney was really into it this year and did not want to stop until she realized that her friend Andrew was done, then she wanted to go home too! Christopher wasn't totally sure about what he was supposed to do when it came to his bucket and the candy. Luckily daddy was there to help!
As for me, I am pretty exhausted! :) I suppose that is what happens when you are 8 1/2 weeks pregnant, going to school full time, working full time outside of the home as well as in the home. Good news at my outside the home job, I got a raise! So I was pretty excited by that. School is going pretty well. I am getting good grades and am able to get most of my assignments done on the weekends so then I don't have to worry during the week. That has been pretty helpful. I am taking Computer Information Systems (mainly about the Microsoft Office 2007 software and how it works), Keyboarding 1 (basically typing skills), and Medical Terminology.
This pregnancy is going well so far. I feel pretty tired most of the time, but I am sure that is to be expected. I actually go for my first appointment on Wednesday, so I will let you know how that goes. So far my due date is June 10. I have never went by my due date with either child, so I expect this baby to be born no earlier than the 17th, but I suppose I could be surprised!! :)
Love to all!
